Daenerys is the only daughter of Aerys II Targaryen and Rhaella Targaryen. She is now a princess living in exile, the last of the Targaryens.
Daenerys was born in the closing days of Robert’s Rebellion after her father, “the mad king” had already been killed. Rhaella and her son Viserys, were evacuated to Dragonstone shortly before Aerys’s death, where Rhaella gave birth to Daenerys in the midst of a violent storm that destroyed the remnants of the Targaryen fleet, leading to her moniker, Daenerys Stormborn. Her mother died giving birth.
Daenerys and Viserys were saved from capture by Ser Willem Darry and four other loyal men who were able to spirit them away to Braavos. Ser Willem looked after the children until he died several years later, and they were forced out into the streets. They wandered from city to city, ending up in Pentos, where Illyrio Mopatis took them in.
Although timid and unsure of herself at first Daenerys grows into a supremely confident warrior women with perhaps the most stringent code of ethics in all the Seven Kingdoms. She believes she is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne and is on a mission to reclaim it.
A sheriffs deputy in King County, Georgia, Rick was injured in the line of duty and lapsed into a coma. When he awoke in the hospital, he discovered that his town and well beyond had become overrun by the undead. A family man, Rick is desperate to find his wife, Lori, and young son, Carl. Another important person in his life is his partner and best friend, Shane. Rick eventually (and somewhat miraculously) finds all three alive and, if not completely well, at least functioning. Thus begins a journey of survival through first urban and then rural surroundings all while being pursued by hungry hordes of walkers.
Partly because of his job as a peace officer, Rick is viewed by the growing group of survivors as a leader a role with which he isnt entirely comfortable. For starters, Rick has a strong sense of right and wrong, a personal code, that doesnt always apply neatly to the world in which humans are now food for monsters. Rick ultimately must decide if he will embrace his leadership role and, if so, whether his style with a Rickocracy or a Ricktatorship. Adding to the tension is the fact that Lori and Shane became an item when they thought Rick was dead (Rick doesnt know this secret, exactly, but one strongly suspects that he strongly suspects). Rick grimly tries to keep everyone alive while mending his marriage and shielding his son from the gory horrors of the post-apocalyptic world.
Tyrion is the third and youngest son of Lord Tywin and Lady Joanna Lannister. He is a dwarf. Because of his unusual stature Tyrion has been a victim of mockery his entire life, with people overlooking his noble birth in order to tease and taunt him. He has also suffered physical indignities in a world not built for someone his size. Tyrion’s mother died giving birth to him and his father and older sister Cersei have despised him all his life as a result. He has always maintained a close relationship with his elder brother Ser Jaime Lannister, Cersei’s twin.
Often underestimated because of his size Tyrion is actually one of the smartest, craftiest members of his family and wishes he was taken more seriously as an advisor. He is easily the kindest, understanding better than others those that have suffered hardship in their lives. He longs for true companionship and love since both have been withheld from him most of his life. Because of the Lannister’s wealth, Tyrion is also quite lazy and debauched given to drowning his familial woes in spirits but is never truly satisfied.
Michael Scott is the regional manager of the Scranton branch of a paper distribution company Dunder Mifflin. He has no sense of social awareness, has few friends, and is quite lonely. He thinks of himself as an office comedian, but his attempts at humor prove to be unfunny at best and are often inappropriate, and sometimes offensive or unwittingly mean.
Despite all this, however, he ultimately means well. The character develops from a trying hard and annoying to a sweet person and we gradually commiserate.
Michael Scott’s B-day is March 15, which he makes a point to point out that it is the same as Eva Longoria’s. He is of English, Irish, German, Scottish ancestry, and claims to be 2/15 Native American Indian. While on the road he likes to sing along to Tom Cochrane’s “Life Is A Highway.”
Walter is a 50-year old chemistry teacher at Wynne High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is a husband and father of a teenage son. His wife Skyler is pregnant with the couple’s second child. He forms a partnership with former student Jesse Pinkman that is the driving force behind the story.
When we first meet Walter he is diagnosed with lung cancer and given approximately two years to live. He learns this startling news alone and the information brings him to a crossroads. His plan is to quickly make as much money as possible so he will have something to leave his family. This leads to connecting with Jesse, a former student .
Though his talent for chemistry appears to be wasted at the high school level, Walter does seems to enjoy bringing science to young minds. This affinity for teaching can be seen in the relationship between Walter and Jesse.
In his former life Walter was a supremely talented chemist, having studied at Caltech with some of the field’s sharpest minds. He formed a company called Gray Matter with his friend, Elliott Schwartz, but eventually sold his share in the company.
